Black plastic buckles, along with belt webbing, are used by the Correctional Institutions market for fabricating belts for pants for the inmates.

Most prisons usually order 1¼" buckles, but have been known to ask for 1" and 1½" buckles and webbing. The webbing is usually cotton, sold in 50 yard rolls, and comes in different colors. The most popular colors are black and khaki. The buckles come in two different types - Cam and Side Release.
